Great stay at The Yankee Peddler Inn! What a wonderful time we had at the beautiful Yankee Peddler Inn! Liz was so helpful and knowledgeable as to her recommendations on where to go to tour and eat. The breakfast was so good each morning as they had fresh fruit and many healthy options. We were within walking distance to everything and had a great stay!

Long Weekend Getaway From the moment you arrive you have friendly innkeepers to help guide your Newport stay with perfect insights to make your stay enjoyable.
The room was spotless, easy to cool/heat, and convenient to everything. Walking from this location is perfect no matter which way you go!
The rooftop deck, wine/cheese, refreshments, and prompt service were all much appreciated.
Wonderful stay!

Perfect place in Newport! Loved the Inn. 5 out of 5. Very comfortable. Full continental breakfast, very friendly staff, and everything you might need while traveling. They also have a lovely balcony on the 2nd floor where we enjoyed a lobster roll picnic one night when our son was too frustrated to eat out again. The bus down Bellevue and to the beach picks up right out side the doorstep and it is 3 easy blocks to the wharf for food and shopping. Would def come back!

A Charming B+B, Just Know What to Expect This is a lovely old inn and the proprietors do their best to offer A+ service with a smile.
Listen, if you're booking this hotel you are probably not in the market for one of the more luxurious 5 Star offerings in Newport at $800+ a night, and with that understood, the Yankee Peddler Inn delivers on value. There's no pool, there's no room service, but if you need a nice place to stay that's central and operated by locals, this is a wonderful choice.
The location is perfect. Parking is free. There's cookies all day and breakfast provided every morning. The rooms are clean. There's a super nice roof deck which is quite unusual for the Newport Historic District. The staff is friendly and will answer any questions you have about town.
Now, what's the downside? This place is old. The rooms are old. The AC works. The shower pressure is good. But it's just old, and it looks and feels that way. Our room was pretty small but I saw some others that looked sizable. Again, because we understood the kind of "vibe" this type of Inn offers, this was expected and if you're staying in the heart of town you shouldn't be cooped up all day in your room anyway.
As many others have commented, the parking situation is a bit odd (they kind of play tetris with the cars and there's a possibility yours could get blocked in), but it's free parking and we didn't have any issues with it at all.
